Lori Cagle is the owner/director of the Academy of Performing Arts. A graduate of the Stuart Business School has been teaching dance for over 27 years and has performed in New Jersey, Philadelphia, and New York City. She has studied with some highly trained instructors: Jeff Shade, the late LaVaughn Robinson, Steve Sirico, Mark Santoro, David Scala, Sammy Reyes, Derrick Mitchell, Avi Miller & Ofer Ben. She has also studied at University of Arts, Philadelphia, PA, and continues to study at Koresh Dance School, Philadelphia, PA, and Broadway Dance Center, New York.
Lori is also a Certified Dance Instructor through Dance Educators of America. Through this organization, she has studied in New York City and also in Las Vegas. She is certified to teach all levels of: Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, and Acrobatics. She has been working extensively in the field of Hip Hop with Samuel Reyes, to be fully trained to teach in this field.
Lori’s students have been involved in various events such as Septemberfest Parade, Alloway Halloween Parade, Magic of Salem Christmas Parade, Mickey’s Hometown Parade, Miss America Parade, Beachfest Parade and Boscov’s Parade. Her students have performed at Great Adventure, Hershey Park, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, 76er’s games, Halftime at Flyers Playoff Game, and have been the entertainment for Royal Caribbean Cruises. Her students have also competed at Regional’s and Nationals and have won various titles.
Lori's goal is to give all students all opportunities in the dance world.
Darrian Cagle, a graduate of Salem Community College, has been dancing since the age of 3. She has studied ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop. She has been in many regional and national competition levels. Darrian has been a teacher’s assistant to the director for 3 years and has developed a curriculum that enhances the young child’s development in dance while the children still have fun.
Darrian will be teaching "Preschool Dance" and "Dance Combo".
Monika Hall, a graduate of Wilmington University with an Undergraduate degree in Elementary/Special Education, will be joining the staff in September 2011.
Monika, a former student of the Academy of Performing Arts, has also studied ballet and jazz at Mid-Atlantic Ballet, where she also was a member of the ballet company. Monika was also a former dance instructor with Salem County Dance and Cheer. Monika will be teaching "Dance Combo" and "Ballet I & II".
Savannah Albright has studied extensively in ballet and will be teaching "Ballet III & IV and Pointe".
Savannah has studied with Academy of the Dance, Universal Ballet Academy, The Rock School for Dance Education, and the School of American Ballet. Savannah also did Teacher Training at School of American Ballet.
Sara Clarke, a former student of the Academy of Performing Arts, is a graduate of Rowan University with a Minor in Dance and has studied extensively in Modern, Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Hip Hop. Sara was also on Rowan University’s Contemporary Dance Company.
Sara is currently a member of the Philadelphia Fight Vixen Dance Team performing for the Philadelphia Fight Rugby Team. Sara will be teaching "Modern".
